<  Gear Talk  ~  How to order my effects on a pedal board

i've got a boss bass overdrive, mxr bass octave, bf2 flanger, a ps5 supers hifter, a boss delay, and a vox guitar wah.

GO!

....but seriously, i need help figuring out what order I should put them in and would like some EXPERT opinions. Thanks for helping out a total noob.

and yes i have a f'd up combo of effects for a bass.

There's no right way, just experiment and consider what effect each effect will have on the signal path. For instance, if you have distortion after a wah the wah effect will be more pronounced and harsher because it is boosting the harmonics created by the wah. Just try different combos until you like what you hear. You may even want to put them in a different order for different songs.

Do bass amps have effects loops? Sorry I know nothing about Bass but if they do and yours does… this is is where your time basses effects would ideally go anything adding gain must be in the main signal path.

IMEO: Ensure you plug your input at the end of the chain into the speaker out on the back of your head.

IMEO means don’t actually do this right?
Not sure if this would cause fire, blow the pedals up or just ruin them…
Rather than this bit of advice... plug the output of your pedals into the input of the amp... Take your speaker out into a cab of the right impedance <-- much better results.
