Yeah, but it's probably overpriced too! I'd love to own a mesa, but I can't afford to spend a couple Ks on an amp.

doubt it... most people play their 100w amps on 2 or 3.

a big piece to the equation of where your volume is set, is how you have your shit eq'd. If someone scoops out all the mids, they're going to have to compensate with a lot higher volume to attempt to cut through the mix.

I generally have my 100W Mesa somewhere between 2 and 3 at jam. I used to have a 50W Mesa and it was more than loud enough for jamming and gigging. Not sure about 25W though. I'd have to give it a try.

Yeah, I need to crank it a little higher at Fume jam than at SoC jam for some reason Smile

yeap, if you turn it up to 4 or 5 you'll just drown out the cymbals and that's crazy talk.

add the size of the jam space, how the amps/drums are placed, type of cymbals, how hard the drummer plays etc...

when i was in a punk rock band years ago the guitarist was rockin a 25 watt peavey, and it was fine...although it was pretty much maxed out...

I have my Dual set at 2-2.5 max when I jam with SoC. Matt, if you're pushing it up to 3 I guess I'll have to as well. Sneaky bastard. \m/_ _\m/
