I'd be really shocked if those were the cymbals the Iron Maiden guy uses.

Those are the cymbals that nicko uses. Not to mention that Scott Travis from Judas Priest uses. 2002s and RUDES are the best cymbals around. Also a bunch of jazz drummers use 2002s

Trust me scotty, u will be by far happier by buying good cymbals than shitty cymbals that u know will break after a year.

Look for used cymbals, sometimes u find good deals. For example the drummer in my band found a 20 inch signature power ride made by paitse for 200 bucks, and u can buy it new for 550.....

Watch that video...it compares all of the paiste cymbals together. The Giant beat sounds great, and the 'traditional bronze', 'supreme sound' and 'modern sound for jazz and fusion' crashes and rides were all pretty amazing.

These are pretty cool. I'd like to get an FX cymbal like this to replace my china.

this sounds pretty good...

I've also seen a few hybrid crash/rides that are around 21"s. That may suite your tastes. like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ5BLx0AwHQ&feature=channel

And This is slightly off topic, but look at this: http://zildjian.com/Products/Drumset-Cymbals/Sheet-Cymbals/ZXT/10-ZXT-Trashformer

the transformer series are crazy looking! mangini for ya

I'm starting to get in to big/large cymbals lately, I grew up on a hybrid ride/crash and it was very practical and heavy sounding. I've noticed a lot of the hardcore/breakdown style drummers use the giant cymbals and it really murders live. you've gotta have a massive 26" kick and the heaviest single pedal ever for that shit to back up the loudness of the cymbals!
